Dental Exam

Each patient will get a thorough periodontal evaluation to assess which type of cleaning is required for your optimum oral health.
Through the use of digital x-rays, and intra-oral cameras, a thorough dental screening will be completed to identify areas of concern within our scope of practice. Your oral soft tissues will be also assessed for oral lesions, oral cancer, and other oral conditions that can occur.
Diagnostic Imaging
Utilizing the latest digital x-ray technology and intra-oral photography, we can share your oral health condition with you immediately, and provide referrals to the appropriate dental specialist to treat dental decay, areas of concern, mal-alignment of teeth, and other oral conditions. Your x-rays and photos can easily be emailed to your dentist if further treatment is required.
Periodontal Disease Assessment
Our mouth is host to many different types of disease-causing bacteria. Periodontal disease is a progressive, and often asymptomatic (painless) response to different types of bacterial infections. Periodontal disease can cause underlying bone loss, tooth loss, and pain. We will assess your periodontal condition and determine the type of cleaning you require to prevent disease or restore your mouth to health.
Personalized Preventive Care (teeth cleaning)

Your oral health needs will vary from any others, because we are all unique individuals. Kerri and Shannon will address dental anxiety levels in a calm atmosphere without the sound of dental drills and other conversations in the background.
Some patients will require more time or varying levels of treatment depending on their own dental history and oral condition and we can accommodate your needs on a case-by-case basis.
Deep Scaling & Root Planing
Oral bacteria collect around the gumline and slowly migrate underneath the level of the gums. If the bacteria have migrated below the gumline, we need to access and remove harmful biofilm, tartar (mineralized) deposits, and aggressive bacteria from the root surfaces in order to halt the disease process and strengthen your gums to prevent reinfection.
Periodontal Maintenance
This treatment is the type of “teeth cleaning” that is needed if you have a history of periodontal disease or have had a Scaling & Root Planing procedure. Kerri and/or Shannon can review this procedure with you if you have questions about which type of “cleaning” you will need.
Anesthesia (topical & local)
Our aim is to provide necessary treatment with utmost levels of comfort. This may require topical anesthesia (a gel that numbs the gums) or local (injections that numb the gums, teeth, and surrounding areas) in order to keep YOU comfortable, at no extra cost to you.
Professional Fluoride Treatments
If you are at a high risk of dental decay, have exposed root surfaces, and/or tooth sensitivity fluoride treatments are recommended.
Desensitizing Treatments
Teeth can become sensitive to temperature (hot and/or cold), sweets, and acidity. We have modalities to reduce, and often eliminate root sensitivity.
